Roland Walters is an award-winning writer and director represented by Curtis Brown and WME.
He is currently writing a TV drama about Louisiana tugboating dynasties for FX, directed by Otto Bathhurst (Peaky Blinders), and a crime drama set in a London record label for Sky. Oscar-winner Aneil Karia (Surge, The Long Goodbye) is attached to direct. He has written episode five for Season 2 of Channel 4 & Peacock’s espionage thriller, The Undeclared War, starring Simon Pegg.
Roland has written a feature film about 17th Century scientist, Johannes Kepler, and his mother’s witchcraft trial. It is being produced by Andy Paterson (The Girl with a Pearl Earring) and directed by Michael Hoffman (The Last Station, Soap Dish). Helen Mirren is attached to star.
He has recently directed a feature documentary about an epic Mongolian propaganda play that gets banned on tour in China, and he directed a series of documentaries about film director, Michael Mann, and his most recent film, Ferrari, for the Michael Mann Archive. 
Roland also wrote and directed a video game, Unknown Number. It was Official Selection for the London Games Festival in the ‘Narrative Excellence’ category. Metro described it as “a great story [...] a truly impressive feat for a tiny indie studio”.
